Monterosso, a pearl set in the marvelous landscape of the "Cinque Terre"
"Unico"rooms to rent is placed in the most important village of the splendid Cinque Terre, declared "patrimony of the humanity", in 1997,by UNESCO.
Quoted, with the others four, by the famous italian poet Eugenio Montale, Monterosso is the classical village of the ligurian east coast, open to the sea on the front and protected by the sour mountains on the back, whose steep slopes have been sweetened by the typical terrazzatures.
The inhabitants because of their strenght have been capable to cultivate wine, oil and livelihood from a bare and stingy ground.
Cinque Terre are universally recognized as one of the most uncontaminated natural areas of the Liguria and the whole Tirrenian sea coast.
The sea of Monterosso is a part of the "Area Naturale Marina Protetta delle Cinque Terre" and it is integrated in the "Cinque Terre National Park"
Compared to the other villages, Monterosso is situated into the center of a small natural gulf which offers wider beaches, a broader extension, and an high-level tourist services.
Not only the sea and the nature promote Cinque Terre and Monterosso as destination for romantic vacations known and sought all over the world, but also the typical kitchen and the products DOC and DOP.
Among the many products You can taste: the dainty "salsa aromatica al pomodoro", the "pesto al basilico", the typica l"extravergine" olive oil, the fresh fished, the "anchovy of Monterosso", served at the local restaurants, and in general the typical kitchen of the area: simple, traditional with delicious recipes .
It'is also suggested to proof the "Limoncino ai limoni di Monterosso", but above all the wine and the famous "Sciacchettrà", the typical “passito” of Cinque Terre.
